Through a combination of funding for extracurricular activities, community connection and leadership development opportunities, SKJAJA aims to close the opportunity gap for students grades K-12 in Orange County, NC.

Why Our Work is Important
SKJAJA is committed to ensuring that every student in Orange County has access to meaningful out-of-school enrichment activities and transformational extracurricular opportunities. We believe that every child deserves to explore their passions and discover who they are outside the classroom and as citizens of the world.
As schools pivot and rebound from the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, extracurricular activities and community connection are more essential than ever to the social, emotional and mental health of students in grades K-12. SKJAJA is committed to working with Orange County and Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS) to support our youth through this transition and beyond.
